Returning, for one concert only, this Friday, 1st October at 7pm!

We're really excited to introduce our star performer list:
Jessica Farrell & Tyler Hoggard
Ebony Black-Cooper
Mia Fernandez
Charmaine Gibbs

A massive thanks to our MC, Kerstyn Emmy Walsh, our videographer, Kenney Designs, all our performers and those who have helped behind the scenes. We can't wait to share this with you all.

"Oh, Biology – look what you’ve done to me"

Much like the main characters; Ellie and Katherine Blake, the mother and daughter duo suspended in an alternate reality waiting for a magical moment to return to their usual lives, the team at Engadine Musical Society have decided to postpone our October show of Freaky Friday and move our production to May 2022.

At this time, we can’t get our amazing cast and crew together to rehearse and our theatre remains closed. We are hoping the health restrictions ease so we can see our loyal patrons once again.

The Freaky Friday rights holders have granted us permission to move our production to May 2022. We are planning a freaky opening night in May 2022 where the cast and crew can bring the incredible musical numbers such Just One Day, I Got This, Oh, Biology, Watch Your Back, Women and Sandwiches and more to the stage at Engadine Theatre.

We had recently announced Jersey Boys would follow Freaky Friday and are grateful to have received the green light to move this Broadway hit to October 2022.

We understand there is a lot of change happening in our world and appreciate this may still affect our plans for 2022 but we are once again looking ahead with optimism.

We really consider it a privilege to be part of our local community; showcasing the incredible depth of home-grown performance talent and the latest shows, as well as beloved classics, at our locally accessible venue of Engadine Theatre.

We will keep you updated via social channels and email. If you aren’t already an email subscriber, please subscribe here.

We, like many others, love live performance and can't wait to return to the stage, work behind the scenes and to be in an audience again. This period has bought so much anxiety to so many. If you, or anyone you know needs help, please reach out through Beyond Blue on 1300 22 4636 or Lifeline on 13 11 14.

Thank you for your continued support of Engadine Musical Society and all the great quality local theatre, and we look forward to seeing you back at Engadine Theatre in 2022.

We miss you all and hope you are keeping safe and well.

With kind regards,

Sue Bunt
Engadine Musical Society

We are thrilled to announce our May 2022 production is Jersey Boys - The Story of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons.

Jersey Boys tells the true-life story of four guys from the wrong side of the tracks, the rise to stardom of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, one of the most successful bands in pop music history. The band sold more than 175 million records and were inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame for their worldwide hits including Can't Take My Eyes Off You, Walk Like a Man, Bye Bye Baby, Sherry and Big Girls Don't Cry, which all feature in the musical.

The Production Team will be announced soon.

Congratulations to our cast of Freaky Friday. We were impressed with the quality of auditions and look forward to commencing rehearsals on Monday.

Singing Through Life

With theatres closed and rehearsals paused we wanted to create an at home concert for our patrons.

We contacted some Engadine MS past performers and asked them to record a song. We encouraged them to choose something they love singing or have always wanted to perform. It’s all a bit of fun!

Welcome to the three part series of Engadine Musical Society Inc presents Singing Through Life, proudly supported by Sutherland Shire Council and Sutherland Entertainment Centre.
